Streetwise Opera presents My Secret Heart, a century-leaping music and film installation
Streetwise Opera presents My Secret Heart, a century-leaping music and film installation by leading electronic composer Mira Calix, renowned video artists Flat-e and Streetwise Opera performers from around England. Based on Miserere Mei, Allegri’s haunting 17th-century choral masterpiece, My Secret Heart was premiered at the Royal Festival Hall in December 2008 in a one-off, live staging staring a cast of 100 which received rave reviews in the national press. The piece now tours through 2009-10 without performers as a film and an immersive installation to festivals and galleries around the world.
