Welcome to the 1st Creative Vibes E-News of the New Decade. We wish all our readers a prosperous New Year 2010. We've given our bulletin a long awaited facelift and hope you find it more user friendly. We will also be sending this out towards the middle of the month from now onwards.

CreativeVibeHub to open at the hat Factory.

A new Creative Networking Hub is to open at the hat Factory. CreativeVibeHub will be a low cost drop in facility for people starting in business, working from home or those who need access to specialist software and cannot afford to buy.

Prices start from just £15 a month for 50 hours use. Those who apply before Feb 29th 2010 will get the first Month Free. The Hub is scheduled to open on March 1st 2010. This is being offered in partnership with Headstart Business Centre. Information is being posted out to Headstart members.

Creative Vibe Magazine April edition

The 3rd issue of Creative Vibes magazine will be being edited over the coming weeks. We're looking for interesting stories and news.

We're also looking for a great cover image. Any image used on the cover will be on the inside be credited to the artist. This is a great opportunity to show your work and getting it published in a professional magazine. Email all information to the email shown at the top of this newsletter. If submitting cover images then please put' Cover image' in the subject line. 

Networking Opportunities: Artists Anonymous

Artists Anonymous is a networking organisation for theatre creators in London. The network is free to join and open to anyone who is involved with creating, organising or managing theatre in the capital. Artists Anonymous offers several networking forums. They have online notice boards for you to post your news questions and comments.
They operate an email group which allows you to email the other members of the network. They also offer regular socials around London for you to meet other members face to face as well as running theatre master classes, script reading events and workshops. Artists Anonymous Theatre Network is open to anyone involved with creating theatre in the capital. Whether you're an actor, writer, director, designer, producer or theatre company Artists Anonymous offers a forum to make contact with other members of the industry. Funding Opportunities

Media Box
Big Mediabox Contract is a large grant that will support organisations and local authorities to manage and deliver a media based bursary project for disadvantaged young people aged 13-19. The project will enable the distribution of funding of £500 to £1,000, to individual young people (or young people working in small groups).

The funding that the young people receive must be used to take part in and/or develop creative media projects/products. Young people should be encouraged to access funds through a suitable application process devised by the applicant.

The successful organisations will be responsible for encouraging and developing applications from young people, managing the project, controlling payments, supporting young people and evaluating individual projects. Video Clip Competition
The European Commission has launched a competition, Picturing Europe which calls for applicants to develop a 3 minute video clip which represents their view of Europe. The Audiovisual Service of the European Commission has large collection of audiovisual archive material and applicants are encouraged to use this. The deadline for submitting clips is 15 March.
